Ich hab mein Notebook wieder. Montag abgegeben, am Mittwoch wiederbekommen. Das ist mal schnell. Und das lustige: Die lenovo-Hotline hatte mir gesagt, Garantiefälle werden nur von deren Zentrum in Heppenheim bearbeitet. Da sollte ich mein Notebook hinschicken. Der Händler hier in Hamburg sagte dagegen, das das Notebook bei jedem zertifizierten Händler repariert werden kann. Supi. Ich brauch nie wieder diese doofe Lenovo-Hotline anzurufen. Ich hab sowieso jedesmal Stunden gebraucht um die Nummer rauszufinden.

Ausserdem habe ich grade mein Ticket für har reserviert.

Mein notebook ist malwieder zur reparatur.
Diesmal bei einem lokalen dealer. Bei der lenovo-hotline
wollten die doch tatsächlich, dass ich mir windoof installiere bevor
die mir glauben dass mein bluetooth kaputt ist. Solche spinner.
Mal sehen wie das dieses mal läuft …

The bluetooth of my X61 does not work for some time now. It started to work only sometimes, but for a month or so it does not work at all anymore. After going through all sorts of software and kernel debugging, I decided that this was a hardware defect. Maybe a connector had become loose or something. And since lenovo provides a good description of how to take the Notebook apart, I did this tonight. The buetooth-module is located under the display in the lid. I only had to take out 3 screws. The rest of the lid was just “clicked” together. It made awful breaking sounds when I opened it. But since the Manual told me to do so, I just stopped crying and carried on. And it worked. And surprise: the bluetooth-module _was_ loose. Here is the photo:

The bad thing: This didn’t help. Still no bluetooth.At least, I could assemble the lid again. Looks as before. And doesn’t work as before :-(
I think, this thing has to go to repair again. The fourth time.

we haven’t met yet. Let me introduce myself. I am a very happy awesome user. My only problem ist this awful config language called lua. I am used to config files ( am a sysadmin after all) but this is just not funny anymore. Every time I try to change something in the awesome config, my windowmanager falls apart. The only reason I am still using awesome is that it works very well with the default config. I only have one little thing: I want my tags to have names and not just numbers. So here is the deal: Please, lazyweb, get my config and change the tagnames. I seem to be too stupid to do this. Thank you very much.

Nur für alle, die immernoch keine Kaltgang Einhausung haben.
Wir haben grade einen Gang abgeschottet, und die Temperaturen sprechen für sich:

Das sind die Temperaturen meines Servers (CPU/Board/HDDs) während des Umbaus. Ganz schön beachtlich, finde ich.
Die Klimaanlage wurde dabei nicht angefasst. Das ist nur ein wenig Plastik, damit die Kalte Luft nicht abhaut.

Eigentlich wollte ich mich in diesem blog ja eher zurückhaltend mit
Netzpolitik auseinandersetzen, aber in letzter Zeit häufen sich
die abstrusen Meldungen bezüglich Trojaner, Netzsperren und Killerspielen ja ziemlich. Deshalb an dieser Stelle eine wirklich gute Zusammenfassung von Herrn Knüver: Bundesregierung vs. Internet. Inspiriert durch einen Artikel auf SPON an dem ich vor allem bemerkenswert fand, dass er bei “ehemaligen Nachrichtenmagazin” erschienen ist.
